The Black Sea Association for International Cooperation (BSAIC) is widely known as one of the most popular organizations of public diplomacy. It is a strong component of the system of international relations of the Republic of Crimea.

The Association includes public organizations, the business community of the Republic, higher educational institutions, museums, libraries, etc.

BSAIC actively cooperates with the executive and legislative authority of the Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol, as well as with Rossotrudnichestvo, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Crimea, General consulates, cultural institutions of foreign countries, institutions of culture and education, public organizations. It also participates in the wide range of international projects.

BSAIC is the member of the Russian Association for International Cooperation (RAIC). The long-term and strong ties with the partner organizations abroad are an important resource for us. The Black Sea Association of International Cooperation is a great example of people’s diplomacy. It is the so-called “soft power” which plays an increasingly important role in humanitarian cooperation and solving international problems. It also tries to implement the aspirations of people to live in peace and security, to have good relations with neighbor nations.

Today BSAIC works towards cultural and business cooperation with foreign countries, with offices of international organizations and clubs. Its activities contribute to the promotion of Russia’s interests in the world, protecting the historical and national dignity of the country, provokes the interest of foreign society to the culture of the Russian world. Being involved in the international discourse as a part of civil society, the staff and members of the Association carry out various programs to familiarize the foreign public with the rich cultural heritage of Crimea as well as its modern achievements. They do a great job to present this precious peninsula as a dynamically developing world, scientific and cultural center, a region that has absorbed and united the diversity of cultures of different countries and peoples. The range of activities of the Association is truly wide. They include educational exchanges, promotion of entrepreneurship, and extensive cultural programs, such as festivals and business trips of entrepreneurs of the Republic of Crimea abroad and festivals of cultures of other countries held in the Crimea. Traditionally, they also celebrate the state holidays, anniversaries and memorable dates of foreign countries.

The international conferences and round tables on current problems, exhibitions, country lectures, and concerts are held in Crimea. Much attention is paid to familiarizing the Crimean public with the history, traditions, culture and modern realities of the foreign countries. The international activities of the Association involve young people in competitive programs, student exchanges, and educational projects. This helps young people to become more civic-minded, educates an active and thoughtful perception of the issues which the society is facing.

As the members of the Associations are highly active, the diversity of forms and activities of the Black Sea Association of International Cooperation allows it to occupy a strong position among the active institutions of civil society.
